Can I have my own Staff complete disinfection?

  • Is there special accreditation required for ULV Fogging or Electrostatic Spray Disinfection?

There is no set accreditation. Though supervisors do have a duty to provide adequate training, and we recommend training to ensure that disinfectant is effectively and safely applied.

  • Are the materials difficult to purchase?

Some Electrostatic Sprayers have wait lists to purchase due to demand, but there are numerous brands available, and more production coming online. Disinfection Education courses are general for any manufacturer, and can allow you to make a more informed choice of unit and disinfectant.

  • Can I test that Disinfection is effective?

Our courses include recommended testing post application which includes options like saturation strips and ATP testing. This testing, in addition to thorough and structured application will ensure that you achieve desired results

  • Will I need specialized Personal Protective equipment?

Electrostatic Spray Disinfection reduces suspended solution more than Fogging due to the charged attraction to surfaces. However Respiratory protection can be required depending on the disinfectant used. We recommend some more natural fragrance free options, as well as respiratory protection solutions available in our courses.

  • Why not just rely on a third party service?

Completing your own disinfection allows for greater flexibility and frequency of application. For smaller areas the ability to perform your own service can represent cost savings.

  • Can I use any Disinfectant product?

Fogging and Electrostatic are suitable for water based, non flammable disinfectants. You will want to check that the disinfectant has been tested for Fogging/Electrostatic use.
